About The Malibu Visitor Alliance

The Malibu Santa Monica Mountains Recreation & Visitor Alliance was formed in 2018 to coordinate the efforts of a wide variety of members. Businesses, individuals, government agencies, and others met at the Calamigos Beach Club in April, 2018. Our original sponsors were Calamigos Ranch and the Malibu Times. A diverse group met to discuss ways in which restaurants, wineries, tour operators, lodging, surf schools, horse rental outfitters, and others could all work to create synergy with the goal of welcoming visitors to Malibu and the western Santa Monica Mountains.

Since then, we have held annual meetings and published maps and visitor guides like "What To Do In Malibu" a Malibu Times Publication. Now in our third year, we are actively reaching out to hospitality professionals, coordinating tours, and public outreach to enhance the visitor experience. From regional day-trippers, to domestic and international travelers, our goal is to create exceptional experiences which will make memories that last a lifetime!
