MALIBU WINE SAFARI Back from the ashes & better than ever

Malibu Wine Safari is located on Malibu’s iconic Saddlerock Ranch in the heart of the Malibu Mountain’s Wine District. The ranch is also home to Malibu Wine Hikes and Salvaje Malibu Yoga.

Although the Woolsey Fire ravaged the ranch, destroying many buildings even consuming the home of the Semler family. The fire was still no match for the spirit of the Malibu Wine Safari staff, their supporters and the multi-generational Semler family.

The safari tour meanders throughout the ranch visiting the wide variety of animals on the ranch and includes several Instagram-worthy photo spots. The tour features several tasting stops along the way complete with different varietals of Malibu wines from both the Semler Estate and Saddlerock Collection.

The ranch is home to a wide variety of animals, including llamas, alpacas, zebras, American bison, donkeys, goats, sheep, yaks, water buffalo, horses, turtles, cockatoos, and camels. There’s also a Shetland pony named Fabio because she has these really groovy bangs. Of course, Stanley the giraffe is the star of the tour having appeared in “The Hangover – Part III”. Feeding Stanley is one of the tour’s highlights. He’s a very charismatic, friendly, and funny giraffe.

Wine tasting occurs at various spots throughout the tour of the park—in between feeding the animals on site. The safari company added wood-fired pizza into the experience, as well as rolled out new open-air safari trucks, each individually wrapped with different animal prints to add to the unique and festive flair to the ‘safari’ experience.
